Here they are finished, maybe they will inspire someone for next year!
(Yes, those are bite marks out of the letters!)
Not the clearest picture, but y'all can get the gist. We love it. I used plastic "scene setter" for the backdrop. It doesn't fade, and is easy hang and reuse. It is also great for me because I have bumpy walls, and it doesn't crease weird like paper.
NOW FOR MY BIG DILEMMA!
Not sure what I want to do next year... I think I am between bees (using yellow and black) and dinosaurs. I am teaching summer school, and hope to have some stuff up before it is over. I don't want to worry about it until August.
Hmmm.... So...what do you guys think?? I need to get crackin'!
Callie :-)
I am totally speechless... I have been hired as the new librarian at my school and in the past week tossed around several theme ideas. After seeing your blog, I am convinced that the ocean theme is it! Would you mind sharing the book you used to create those awesome sea creatures? Although I am no artist, I have mastered the art of using an overhead projector! Awesome job!
ReplyDeleteAwww... you are so sweet! These ocean animals are inspired by Giles Andreae's Commotion in the Ocean book. I am a huge fan! When I was in the library we would switch out the theme about every two months in our primary section. The kiddos LOVED it! Best of luck to you!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE your bulletin boards! They are super cute! :) I like the idea of doing BEEs next year!!!
